Financial Controller

Accountable recruitment are working with a dynamic Wirral based business who are looking for a Financial Controller. This is a “hands on” and commercial role where you’ll be working closely with operations, sales and all head office functions as a valued business partner. you will be producing accounts and reports for board in this busy and autonomous role. Working with a small team you will have responsibility for mentoring part-qual’s and helping them to develop their skill set. This is an exciting position where you can grow your skills set and add value in a well-known business.

Duties to include:

• Preparing management accounts
• Prepare budgets, re-forecasts and variance analysis
• Provide reports for board
• Reviewing work of the team and distributing as necessary
• Working closely with the sales team to advise on costings etc
• Ownership of the P&L
• Development of systems and processes
• Key finance contact for all areas of the business

Key skills:

• Relevant Accountancy Qualification – ACA, ACCA, CIMA
• Experience of leading and developing a team
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines
• Strong communication skills and ability to challenge when required
