My client is an established and well regarded Pan-European Private Equity (PE) firm with an impressive track record of investing across the Business Services, Technology and Industrial sectors. The firm is currently looking to hire an Finance Operations Manager who will work very closely with the Partners and portfolio company management on specific or cross portfolio projects.

Key Responsibilities;

  • Contribute to the development and management of the firm’s growth model as it continues to evolve and support its use within portfolio companies.
  • Proactively seek to help portfolio companies achieve and surpass best industry practice particularly in terms of financial performance or key drivers thereof. This activity will include external and internal benchmarking wherever possible.
  • Collating, analysing, investigating and summarising portfolio companies’ monthly, quarterly and annual reporting and forecasts to the Partners.
  • Reviewing and summarising each company’s annual budget and longer term forecasts, including bank covenant compliance and headroom.
  • Working with deal teams to analyse investment opportunities and support due diligence and production of governance papers.

The Person;

  • French, German or Italian language skills are essential, ideally 2 of the 3 languages. 
  • Strong financial analysis skills
  • Experience gained in Consulting, Restructuring or Transaction Services / M&A within the Big 4 advisory firms or in similar consulting / restructuring firms.
  • Sector experience in Business Services, Technology or Industrials, preferably with Private Equity backed businesses. 
  • Degree qualified along with an accounting qualification such as ACA or equivalent
  • Motivated self-starter and commercially astute
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong people management, relationship building and networking skills
