Management Accountant

With numerous creative business streams across the media realm that include strategy/branding, production and publishing, the group is going through a period of changes as it is currently reassessing its market position and needs an experienced Management Accountant to join their growing team.

This position is a blend of accounting and business partnering and plays a key part in helping the business deliver a high quality and profitable service.

To be a suitable candidate you will need to be nearing the end or have recently completed your studies (ACCA or CIMA) and have gained your experience within a creative environment. You will need to be an enthusiastic and highly organised individual  who likes to work in a dynamic company and be confident in working with key stakeholders around the business.

The Role:

• Month end reporting to include variance analysis and commentaries;
• Cash flow forecasting;
• Assist with budgeting,  monthly reviews and variance analysis;
• Proactively develop and implement improvements to the month end and business processes;
• Production accounting to include budgets, profitability and cost reporting;
• Royalty accounting;
• Responsible for the monthly payroll;
• Balance sheet reconciliations;
• Oversee 1 junior member of the team.

The Person:

• Finalist or newly qualified (ACCA/CIMA or equivalent);
• Management accounting experience gained within a creative environment;
• Strong excel and analysis skills;
• Experience of Royalties;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• Problem solving mindset, proactive and highly motivated;
• Commercially astute with a high level of attention to detail;
• Experience of Payroll would be an advantage;
• Outgoing, people person.

This is a 6 month contract but should the candidate prove themselves there is a strong possibility of the position going permanent.
