M&A Finance Analyst

The managing director of a Warrington business that continues to grow organically and through acquisition is looking for an M&A focused finance analyst to join the team on a permanent, full-time basis. Working closely with the Managing Director, you will play a significant part in the strategic direction of the business.

Responsibilities of your new role

Your primary responsibilities as the M&A finance analyst will include:

• Research and financial analysis of potential business opportunities;
• Producing and presenting reports to support the case for growth;
• Managing mergers and acquisition processes;
• Identifying risks/barriers and planning contingencies;
• Developing strategies to target gaps in markets;
• Maintaining competitor database, awareness of market trends;
• Considering technical barriers and additional start-up costs, producing reports and financial costs / savings;
• Quickly form team relationships with other Business Units within the UK and Europe; and
• Providing financial analysis to Regional Management regarding underperforming business.

Required skills, qualifications and experience

To be successful in this financial analyst role you’ll need to demonstrate:

• ACA / ACCA / CIMA fully qualified accountant;
• Excellent analytical and Excel skills;
• Ideally have previous experience of dealing with mergers & acquisitions and be familiar with the due diligence process;
• You will be comfortable working closely with the Senior Management Team, identifying risks and developing and presenting a viable contingency plan; and
• Flexibility – there will be an element of travel within the UK and Europe. 

Salary

The successful M&A finance analyst will be offered an annual salary of £40,000 - £45,000 per annum.
