Finance Manager

Vitae are proud to be working with a thriving property developer based in Hertfordshire to source a top-calibre Finance Manager to join their growing team. This business has grown at an impressive rate since establishing over 10 years ago and has reported record profits in 2018 with further plans for expansion. This would suit a technically focused Qualified Accountant with ambitions to progress to Financial Controller level in the next few years.

Key Responsibilities:
- Producing accurate and timely month end trial balances and consolidation
- Keeping up to date with current and proposed accounting standards assessing the impact on financial forecasts
- Monitoring the annual overheads budgets and investigate and highlight variances
-Producing statutory financial information including the filing of accounts within the requisite timeframes
- Ensuring invoicing is up to date and invoice payment received on a timely manner.
- Managing day to day operational relationships within the team
- Responsible for ensuring the finance department operates effectively and is adequately resourced
--Managing the short term cash flow requirements of the business by liaising with all relevant departments
- Maintain effective relationships with advisors (PWC etc.), to ensure support when required
- Proposing required drawdowns to achieve short term cash flow requirements
- Implementing and monitoring financial operational procedures.
- Creating an environment to drive engagement and high performance within the finance team

We are looking for a highly-motivated, credible Finance Manager with previous line management experience and a proven background in developing staff. The ideal profile will be an ACA / ACCA Qualified Accountant with 1-3 years of post-qualified experience. Our client would be willing to consider candidates making their first move from practice however an understanding of the property/construction industry would also be advantageous.

As a result, this would be a highly attractive opportunity for someone based on the London / Hertfordshire / Essex Border who is keen for a role with a fast-paced, dynamic feel but without the daily commute into Central London.
