A Financial Controller job in Dumfries working for a leading business offering an excellent package
Your new company
A leading business focused on the development of innovative products and services who are part of a global group, are seeking a Financial Controller on a permanent basis.
Your new role
Key responsibilities will include:
- All reporting and controlling responsibilities which includes the preparation of financial statements and reports to meet management and statutory (US and UK) requirements.
- Additional quarterly statutory accounts information to support the group statutory reporting functions.
- Control of CAPEX and working capital
- Liaison with external and internal auditors, and the regular review and resolution of audit recommendations as well as liaison with other bank and insurance providers.
- Accurate and timely preparation of monthly accounting statements
- Rolling P&L and cash forecasts and related commentaries to senior management
- Credit control, approving and managing day to day payments and receipts.
- Participation and contribution to the management forum on a monthly basis.
- Provision of financial, administrative and systems support to the non- financial managers, notably stock control, purchasing, transport and customer service.
- Engagement, motivation and overall line management responsibility for the AP and AR teams. Specific responsibilities to manage end-to-end the annual performance management and personal development plans of the team. Contribute to the pay review process based on performance ratings for the team
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a fully Qualified Accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA), with proven experience of operating at a similar level ideally having gained experience within a large corporate organisation. You will be an ambitious self starter focused on developing your career and be keen to progress your career within a reputable organisation where you can add value. You will be an experienced people manager with excellent leadership skills and will possess strong communication skills with the ability to build robust relationships with stakeholders at all levels and will possess the ability to see the bigger commercial picture behind the numbers.
