Finance Director | Technology sector | High net-worth investor | £20m t/o
Axon Moore is exclusively representing a venture capitalist with a portfolio of high-growth technology businesses as they look to appoint a Finance Director to one of the businesses within the portfolio.
The business within the portfolio (ranging from start-ups to £75m t/o) operate autonomously and this role would lead the finance team of the second largest business in the portfolio (under the mentorship of the portfolio CFO). Despite the autonomy and senior stakeholder exposure we are looking to appoint a “rising star” with the potential and ambition to grow in to the role with support, making this an extremely rare opportunity for an up and coming, entrepreneurial and very ambitious accountant.
A key component of this role will be to provide commercial insight with responsibility for performance reporting and will require a “hands on” approach and the adaptability to respond to regular project work driven by positive business transformation. The FD will also play a key role in M&A activity as the business pursues an aggressive shareholder strategy and will work closely with external tax and corporate finance advisers as well as the bank. The successful candidate will be required to work strategically with senior stakeholders whilst also being keen to be across the detail, developing a strong understanding of the business.
The role provides the opportunity for the successful candidate to evolve and grow with the company under the mentorship of a high-calibre CFO, with ever increasing responsibility. Given the broad responsibility, close collaboration with the executive team and exponential growth the job could be a key stepping stone to a leadership role and potential wealth creation opportunities.
