With ambitious expansion plans, this start-up AdTech business is rapidly establishing an enviable reputation within the competitive data intelligence market place. Having secured funding from some of the world's leading Venture Capitalists, including Y Combinator and Octopus Ventures whose successful investments include Dropbox, Airbnb, Eve, Zoopla & GymBox, the company has already grown from 10 to a team of circa 30 in the UK and US in the past 12 months with ambitious global expansion plans. Supporting a portfolio of instantly recognisable clients including publishers, marketers and digital product managers, the organisation is focused on utilising data to build smarter businesses across multiple devices and maximise intelligent commercial insight and real-time decision making. As a result, the group is seeking a qualified ACA or ACCA to undertake a newly created Finance Manager role to “own” the finance function and allow the Finance Director to focus on legal, HR and IT matters during a critical growth programme. Your brief includes:

•Day to day responsibility for financial control, balance sheet & Profit & Loss accounting
•Preparation of monthly management accounts with commentary for FD & Board review
•Driving budgeting & forecasting processes
•Weekly cash flow management & projections
•Management of the year end process & reporting
•Day to day book-keeping including invoicing, purchase ledger & credit control
•Driving improvements in financial systems & processes to ensure robust financial control & additional value-added work

As a qualified ACA or ACCA from a Top 40 firm, you will demonstrate excellent technical accounting skills, experience of delivering against financial and management reporting deadlines and evidence of improving accounting processes, systems and controls, ideally within an SME or start-up enterprise. The role demands a professional, proactive approach, the ability to develop a finance team and the gravitas to challenge the status quo. Interest in technology, ad-tech or start-ups would be advantageous but not essential. The role is expected to quickly become a Group Financial Controller role as the business expands to different markets, so an ability to work in a fast paced, ever-changing environment is critical.
