About the role

Initially a six month contract, the role of the Financial Analyst sits in the Commercial Finance team and provides key assistance to the FP&A Manager as well as important stakeholders across one of the main business units.

The main responsibilities of the role include:

• Assisting with FP&A Manager with high quality analytical support

• Ensuring high quality governance of reporting, forecasting and analysis across key projects

• Developing and designing robust reporting templates and dashboards

• Developing new, clear and concise methods for easy data access

• Assisting with the planning process including maintenance of financial models

• Supporting both CAPEX and OPEX reporting and analysis

• Business partnering and decision support across the commercial teams, engineering, strategy and procurement

About you

As the ideal candidate you will have come from a strong technical financial or accounting background, e Big 4 or CA qualified, with a proven ability to extract and expand on information and data to grow business.

You will:

• Have proven experience in BI and data manipulation tools

• Advanced excel and financial modelling experience (including building from scratch)

• Have an inquisitive and challenging mindset towards process improvement

• Have a strong drive to assist and grow the business

• Be an exceptional communicator, both written and verbally

• Show proven ability to partner with difference, non-financial stakeholders and communicate finance terms effectively
