Elevation Accountancy & Finance are currently working alongside a key client based in the Worksop area as they look to recruit a Part Qualified Assistant Financial Accountant to join their team on a full time, permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone working towards their ACCA/CIMA qualification who has a strong knowledge of accounting standards and roughly 2 years worth of experience in a similar role.
Duties of the Financial Accountant will include:
- Reconciling the trial balance and posting journals
- Producing primary financial statements
- Maintaining the fixed asset register
- Preparing month end commentary for the balance sheet, cash flow and fixed costs
- Producing fixed cost overhead analysis
- Monitoring capital spend against budget/forecast
Person specification:
- At least 2 years experience in an accounting environment
- Studying towards CIMA/ACCA
- Knowledge of accounting standards
- Strong communication skills
