Your New Job

As the Assistant Accountant, you will chiefly be assisting the Management Accountant by preparing and posting journal entries, as well as preparing balance sheet account reconciliations. You shall also be dealing with the calculation of accruals and pre-payments, assisting in the preparation of budgets / forecast data and providing accurate and timely information for the production of weekly / periodic reports. You will also assist in the production of financial analysis and reports, to support management and financial accounting processes.

Your Experience & Our Requirements

Our Client is looking for a knowledgeable Assistant Accountant with a proven track record. Ideally you’ll have at least 2 years’ experience and will ideally be suited to a candidate who has completed or is studying final stages of AAT and looking for an opportunity to progress towards a further recognised accounting qualification (e.g. CIMA/ACCA). You shall demonstrate a professional and confidential approach, be resilient in nature with excellent planning, organising and time management skills. Analytical, good attention to detail and a methodical approach are all words used to describe you. As a successful applicant you will have an advanced working knowledge of Excel, having used macros, pivot tables and lookups in previous roles.
