Senior Audit Manager - Fraud & Financial Crime Job | £50k - 65k + benefits & bonus | Edinburgh, City Centre


Your new company
A renowned Financial Services organisation based in Edinburgh is seeking to add head count in its Internal Audit - Fraud and Financial Crime function as a result of a large transformation.

Your new role
As a Senior Internal Audit Manager of Financial Crime and Fraud you will be responsible for delivering strong independent assurance and opinion on a complex portfolio of Assurance Audits. You will provide SME opinion and input for the development of methodology and standards to audit Financial Crime and Fraud aligned with ECB requirements and the banks 1st and 2nd lines of defence model.

You will be responsible for leading, managing and supporting Financial Crime and Fraud audits to identify the key risks in terms of scale, scope, cross-divisional impact and technical specialism to provide reliable, independent assurance and agree value adding management actions with the business, enhancing the control framework.

 

What you'll need to succeed

 

  • Ideally you will hold a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) or similar but this is not essential
  • Educated to degree level. Additional Masters level qualifications and/or relevant professional qualifications would be a plus (e. ACCA, ACA, CFE, MIIA, AML or equivalent)
  • You will have experience of leading, managing a portfolio of Financial Crime and Fraud audits in terms of scale, scope, cross-divisional impact and technical specialism
  • Previous experience of developing key stakeholder relationships with business/ specialist areas to influence, drive positive change, educate the business in the control framework, whilst providing guidance and insight
  • Be confident in leading the development of the audit plan for Financial Crime and Fraud risk and prioritises work based on risk and an understanding of business objectives including UK PRA and FCA requirements
