Management Accountant- Hertford- Contract to Permanent
Circa £40,000

Our client, a reputable and dynamic business, is seeking an immediately available management accountant to join their finance function on a contract to permanent basis. Working closely with the Head of Finance you will provide financial support for specific business areas.

Key Responsibilities
- Preparing month end accounts for the business units including, P&Ls, Balance Sheets, reconciliations
- Carrying out variance analysis on budgets and forecasts - highlighting risks and opportunities
- Reviewing Daily & Weekly Sales, Cash and Settlement Forecasts
- Reviewing improvement suggestions on overhead management within the Business Unit
- Working closely on the budgeting and forecasting processes
- Assisting in the preparation of VAT, PAYE & Corporation Tax returns and queries
- Assisting with implementation and usage of new technology, software, applications and systems to improve efficiencies
- Participating in projects as required

The successful candidate will be a dynamic finance professional with proven experience in the production and reporting of validated Management Accounts and associated commentary. With advanced Excel skills, you will be confident in data manipulation.

With excellent interpersonal skills, the successful candidate will have track record of forming strong working relationships at all levels of an organisation. You will possess a keen interest in improving efficiencies and confident in your abilities to meet deadlines.
