Our client, a highly successful entrepreneurial group of companies, is seeking a Finance Director to partner the Managing Director, in controlled expansion and profitable development of the organisation.
You will assume full control of the Finance Department taking overall responsibility for all aspects of financial performance, strategic planning, job costing, property management, procurement controls, deal analysis and negotiations.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Implementing and monitoring a robust control environment.
- Build financial models for projects from inception to include rigorous controls and timely profitability checks.
- Preparing and presenting information to the Board including highlights on business performance, operational excellence and financial strength.
- Providing meaningful management information on a real time basis.
- Implementing reliable performance metrics (KPI's) that will drive revenue, margin generation and cost savings.
- Ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
The role would suit a candidate who is looking for their first Finance Director position after progressing quickly from leaving practice. Must be a qualified accountant, preferably ACA or ACCA.
A demonstrable track record of business performance improvement, maintaining the highest levels of governance and influencing the business strategically through sound commercial decision support and business planning.
The ideal candidate will also need to be able to demonstrate expertise with large contract and or project financial management
