The SF Group is currently working with a growing Financial Services Business In Nottingham to recruit a Finance Analyst to support the Board of Directors.
Your key role will be to support the Managing Director on all financial matters: providing insight and commentary on business performance. Some of your key responsibilities will be:
• Ensure the Management Team are fully informed regarding the financial performance of their business with appropriate feedback
• Help the business achieve its targets through the regular proactive analysis of business performance
• Support the strategic and operational decision making processes through insights/analysis that drive the appropriate initiatives/actions
• Analysis and understanding of business performance drivers and support
• Scenario modelling
• Participation in IT initiatives from a financial aspect and establish system requirements
• Help prepare key performance Indicators on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis as appropriate
• Work closely with the Operations Team to improve budget and forecast processes
• Assist in year-end audit production and liaison with Group Finance
• Ensure compliance with all financial matters relating to the FCA
• Work with the Central Support team to ensure timely and accurate reporting to the FCA
You will have had previous experience working in an SME business supporting a Managing Director, and will have come from a Financial Analyst background. Some of your key skills will be
• Business partnering various stakeholders
• Qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA (Qualified by experience candidates will also be considered)
• Previous experience of working in a regulated environment
• Ability to work to deadlines both individually and as part of a team
• Ability to work well in a small team and build relationships across the wider group
• Advanced Excel/Data skills. (Modelling, VBA, Macros)
