SME Financial Controller position, based in Rugby, Up to £55,000 plus bonus and generous shares scheme.

Your new company
Hays Senior Finance are proud to be working in an exclusive partnership with this growing, US owned, dynamic business, to recruit a commercial SME Financial Controller, based in Rugby, Warwickshire.

As Financial Controller, reporting into the UK Managing Director, you will proactively manage the internal accounts function of the company, ensuring all regulatory, contractual and best practice procedures are maintained at all times. You will be responsible for providing proactive financial advice and assistance to the SMT on all financial matters and delivering seamless support to all company departments on any financial matters.

Your new role
Some of the key responsibilities include:

Maintain the Cash flow for the UK Group.
Prepare Budget Trackers for all full-time heads and other Clients, and liaise with the appropriate heads of each account.
Prepare monthly financial reports & presentation utilising NetSuite software, for all UK Companies within the group and liaising with the COO & CFO.
Advise the COO on all Company financial matters as required by the demands of the business.
Develop new administration systems, as required, to continually develop the Finance Department.
Undertake continual development of professional skills to ensure up to date knowledge and skills for the role.
Lead and develop the finance team.
Completion of the monthly payroll process for all employees of the Group.
Deliver guidance to the HR Department on all related payroll queries, as well as advising any external workers on all payroll matters.
Prepare UK consolidation.
Arrange bank payments for all suppliers & employees, and to complete by deadlines.
Raise Sales Quotations & Sales invoices as and when the needs arises. Complete the credit control for the Company on a weekly basis;
Maintain the expenditure on the Company credit cards, advising the COO & CFO of any points of concern. Complete monthly reconciliations.
Management and maintenance of the Companies PO System.

What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in a leadership finance position, with a recognised accountancy qualification, and company consolidation experience including inter-company elimination activity. You will be highly motivated with an enquiring mind, and strong decision making skills, with a commitment to strong corporate governance. A knowledge of Sage Payroll and Net Suite is desirable. This is an all round encompassing SME role, and you must be prepared to take on some day to day tasks, as well as the commercial strategy side.

What you'll get in return
