Stock Accountant

Marshall Moore are currently recruiting for an experienced Stock Accountant to join a market leading company based in Liverpool city centre. Currently going through a period of growth makes this a very exciting time to be joining the organisation. Reporting to the Finance Director, the Stock Accountant will be responsible for accurately recording stock movement and stock costs. In order to be considered for this role it is essential to have experience monitoring and analysing moving and fixed stock.

The Stock Accountant will be responsible for:

·Recording stock movements and the associated costs

·Track and monitor incoming stock from purchase orders and maintain accurate receipts to monitor stock movements in real time

·Reconciling purchase orders and receipts to ensure stock is bought and received only as and when necessary

·Ensuring stock records are kept up to date to allow accurate invoicing

·Liaise with suppliers and ensure the necessary receipts and documentation are received in a timely manner for all stock related purchasing

·Develop and maintain inventory control methods and models to ensure accurate stock reporting and that these records reflect the physical stock available

·Preparation of cost analysis relating to each product and using this information to assist with month end reporting

·Maintaining stock integrity and ensuring all stock within the system is reconciled in real time by month end

·Adhering to month end timelines and work within hard deadlines

·Continuously develop and refine business processes in relation to stock and help improve the stock control function’s efficiency whilst reducing costs

·Ensure all admin related to stock is maintained in an efficient manner and accessible as and when required by senior management

Ideally you will have/be:

·Stock accounting experience

·Strong reconciliations experience within a Financial role

·Ability to work closely with other departments

·Experience creating and maintaining monitoring systems/functions

·Strong attention to detail
