A well-established firm in Central London, who have a sizeable Business Services team that makes up a significant part of their turnover, have a brand-new senior level role due to the growth of their client base.

I am looking for a qualified Accountant with experience of managing/supervising a team as well as looking after a diverse portfolio. The successful applicant will be assigned their own portfolio of clients and will be working with Partners/Directors providing key analysis, working alongside a varied portfolio of clients.

The firm have a very impressive client portfolio, including a range of well known American businesses in the technology sector.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Full review of management accounts, reports and VAT returns, ensuring technical accuracy and any anomalies are investigated and resolved
  • Control of a portfolio of clients, ensuring all client reporting and payment deadlines are met, WIP and recoverability levels are maintained to acceptable standards and special bills are agreed and promptly raised for any out of contract work.
  • Assisting the Management team in the day to day running of the team
  • Supervision of team members, ensuring they are completing their work accurately, providing guidance where necessary
  • Managing the onboarding of new client accounts from an accounting and administrative perspective
  • Dealing with technical queries from clients
  • The review of online BACs payment submissions
  • Assisting in researching new accounting initiatives for efficiency purposes, e. Cloud based products
  • Assistance with contract reviews and fee negotiations
