Are you a qualified Accountant with experience in reporting at group level? Have you recently qualified and looking to take that next step in your career?
I am recruiting for an SME organisation who are looking for a Group Accountant to join their team, reporting to the Group Financial Controller this will play a key role in the group reporting and supporting the senior management team in year - end and statutory reporting and producing management accounts.
As Group Accountant you will be responsible for:
- Preparation and processing of accounting journals and associated analysis
- Preparation of robust balance sheet reconciliations and supporting analysis in line with IFRS.
- Assist in the preparation of month end management accounts and other business performance reporting
- Cash management, including bank reconciliations, cash posting and cash flow forecasts
- Production of analysis to support VAT and other tax returns
- Ensure business compliance with implemented financial control processes and policies
- Assist in the production of annual statutory accounts
- Support the Group Financial Controller and wider finance team in the day to day financial management of the business and related Group companies
- Oversee / support finance functions with day to day activities, constantly looking for process improvements and finding more efficient ways to work.
- Assist with the financial controls, financial management of the wider group looking for areas of weakness and implementing change where applicable.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting within the Group both on an annual and half year basis.
As Group Accountant ideally you will have:
- A relevant qualification (ACA/ ACCA/ CIMA)
- Financial control and balance sheet management
- UK GAAP / IFRS statutory accounting and reporting
- Strong excel skills
