We are looking for a Service Charge Accountant to join our team based at our head office in Aldgate.

As a Service Charge Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the accounting records of a designated portfolio of properties. In this role, you will take ownership for the preparation of the year end accounts of selected portfolio. 

Key responsibilities for our Service Charge Accountant include:

• Take responsibility for audit process, liaising with external auditors and with the relevant property team.
• Organise audit, post audit journals and respond to internal and external queries.
• Prepare trial balances together with all supporting documentations as appropriate.
• Preparation of management reports on a monthly or quarterly basis.
• Assist property managers in relation to additional financial queries, projects or information as required.

Skills and Experience required of our Service Charge Accountant:

• Possession of a recognised accounting qualification.
• Previous experience of working with splitting expenditure across different cost centres/ schedules.
• Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure.
• Previous experience of working within the property management sector.
