New permanent role, Dewsbury, Management Accountant
Your new company
Bluespot Furniture Ltd is a growing, owner managed business, which manufactures and sells UK office furniture. They have a state of the art 35,000 ft2 manufacturing facility at the head office in Dewsbury. Established in 2000, Bluespot furniture is recruiting a new Management Accountant as their current Accountant is retiring in 2019 following a handover period. They are recruiting a Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with a strong commercial outlook, who is confident with a can-do attitude.
Your new role
Reporting to the Managing Director you have overall control of the company’s accounting function with a team of 3 reporting into you (Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger and Finance Assistant). In this role you will carry out all financial planning for the company and provide on-going advice to the Managing Director and Senior Management Team. You will be involved in the production of the company’s budgets, forecasts, monthly management accounts, production of KPIs as well as being the external contact for all relevant stakeholders including the Bank, HMRC etc. In addition to this you will be an experienced user of Sage 200 and will assist with other ad hoc roles within the company when required.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be an ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified accountant with ideally previous experience of working within a manufacturing company. Experience in creation of product costing models / profit analysis would be an advantage albeit not essential. You will have experience of Sage 200 along with experience of working within a growing, SME, owner managed business.
