Our client is a high-growth manufacturing SME in north-west England. This dynamic company is enjoying rapid growth. To support expansion, the CFO is looking to recruit a technically strong Financial Controller. This is the No.2 role in the finance team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Management of the finance team alongside the CFO
  • Review, challenge & consolidate the monthly accounts and other reporting; support the CFO in publishing the Board Management Information Pack (IFRS)
  • Business modelling & annual budgeting
  • Improve systems and controls of accounting function
  • Develop the external audit relationship & manage audit process
  • Ensure that reporting and tax deadlines are met
  • Team management
  • Treasury management
  • Ensure compliance & forward visibility of loan covenants
  • Key support to CEO, CFO & finance team

Skills/Abilities

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA / CIMA)
  • Strong academics, good university degree
  • Advanced Excel & IT skills
  • Excellent presentation & communication skills
  • Manufacturing industry experience will be beneficial
  • Venture capital / Private Equity experience advantageous
  • Good working knowledge of UK tax is highly desirable
