Our client is a high-growth manufacturing SME in north-west England. This dynamic company is enjoying rapid growth. To support expansion, the CFO is looking to recruit a technically strong Financial Controller. This is the No.2 role in the finance team.
Responsibilities include:
- Management of the finance team alongside the CFO
- Review, challenge & consolidate the monthly accounts and other reporting; support the CFO in publishing the Board Management Information Pack (IFRS)
- Business modelling & annual budgeting
- Improve systems and controls of accounting function
- Develop the external audit relationship & manage audit process
- Ensure that reporting and tax deadlines are met
- Team management
- Treasury management
- Ensure compliance & forward visibility of loan covenants
- Key support to CEO, CFO & finance team
Skills/Abilities
- Qualified Accountant (ACA / CIMA)
- Strong academics, good university degree
- Advanced Excel & IT skills
- Excellent presentation & communication skills
- Manufacturing industry experience will be beneficial
- Venture capital / Private Equity experience advantageous
- Good working knowledge of UK tax is highly desirable
