Finance Manager

Finance Manager | Banbury Oxfordshire | Manufacturing / Distributing 

Our Client is the UK Subsidiary of a Global Group with over 1,500 employees and operations in 24 countries. The company is a leading manufacturer and distributor and has achieved an a 50% increase in turnover over the past four years. To support longer term growth, the Group have made significant investments and acquisitions to strengthen the organization and to expand its manufacturing capacity.

Location: Banbury (close to the M40)

Salary: Competitive

Working within a close team and reporting directly to the General Manager, you will:

• Prepare and submit monthly group reports to deadlines including: cashflow reporting, project reporting, Cognos reporting.

• Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts in accordance with Group guidelines (IFRS).

• Oversee maintenance of the sales, purchase and general ledgers, sales invoicing, purchase payment and credit control processes, prepare and reconcile VAT returns, and process and check monthly Payroll.

• Manage and oversee the year end process (including statutory accounts) and be the main point of contact with the auditors, prepare budgets and forecast.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

• A qualified accountant (CIMA / ACA / ACCA)

• Experience producing monthly Management Accounts in a comparable environment and role (SME environment or in a subsidiary of an international Group).

• Strong technical accounting skills including experience in revenue recognition and accounting for deferred/accrued costs, cash flow management, reporting and forecasting, and preparation of VAT returns.

•  Advanced Excel expertise (knowledge of processing payroll and associated legislation would be advantageous)
