Assistant Accountant Job Job based in Telford February 2019 start - 9 month contract

I am working with a growing manufacturing business based in Telford who have a temporary need for an Assistant Accountant to cover a maternity leave absence in their finance team.
Your new role
You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the purchase ledger and the allocation of bank transactions, to assist with the smooth running of the Finance Department. Main duties will include completing company VAT return and EC Sales list as well as maintaining asset register using SAP and daily cash allocations. You will prepare a weekly report showing a summary of key indicators include sales and stock as well as process company wages and expenses. You will also help support the Finance Manager with management accounts, statutory accounts and tax returns as well as any other ad-hoc requests.
What you'll need to succeed
We are looking for a Part-Qualified AAT/ACCA/CIMA Accountant or applicants Qualified by previous relevant accounts experience.,You will need excellent communication skills, who can work well as part of a team and have a flexible approach to their work. Previous experience of SAP would be advantageous and a good understanding of excel to include vlookups and pivot tables is required.
