Group Financial Controller

£70k-£75k plus bonus

A highly successful hospitality group is looking to hire an outstanding Group Financial Controller to work with the CFO in the creation of a best in class finance function for the Group within a fast paced private equity backed business.

The role will encompass the following areas:

  • Partner with the CFO and Senior Management in supporting the strategic planning process across the Group.
  • Drive the operational efficiency of the Finance department through people development, process improvement and technological change.
  • Lead the control and governance functions of the function, acting as the No 2 to the CFO on all finance matters.
  • Drive the Finance function to the heart of the business, educating all departments on the importance & impact of cost control, budgeting, forecasting & re-forecasting activities.
  • Continually assess current best practice & review processes and methods in terms of efficiency, accuracy & scope.

Due to the extensive growth that the business is experiencing, the CFO is looking for the following key skills:

  • ACCA/ACA qualified, with 2-3 years post qualification experience as a Group Accountant.
  • Strong communication/support skills and the ability to interact confidently with Senior Managers throughout the business.
  • Strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to successfully manage and grow finance teams.
  • Excellent technical knowledge, plus practical experience of consolidating overseas entities for a UK Group.
  • Experience of growing in a fast growth, hospitality business is extremely preferential.
  • Demonstrable experience of enhancing Group systems, controls and reporting framework.
