Description

As Assistant Commercial Accountant reporting into the Finance Director and business partnering across specific areas of the business, your role will be to support the business on key decision making and strategy development through analysis. Your main responsibilities will be:

• Reporting to the Commercial Finance Director and responsibility for all reporting and analysis across the finance team
• Working closely with the commercial and sales team, providing financial and non-financial reports
• MI reporting including customer profitability, performance at customer level, and other ad hoc reports as and when requested
• Assisting in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, variance analysis including commentaries
• Developing and improving forecasting models
• Consolidation of sales margin reports highlighting key variances
• Trend analysis - customer/product/market

Profile

The ideal candidate for the Assistant Commercial Accountant role must have:

• Experience working in a fast paced management accounting and/or commercial finance role
• Strong academic background and studying towards a recognised accountancy qualification (CIMA/ACCA)
• Excel skills - v look ups, pivot tables
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively across the business
• Confident in approach
