Commercial Accountant

Revenue Accountant, Marketing Services, Central London, £40,000

Our client is a Global Independent Advertising Agency based in Central London. They have tripled in size over the last few years and established offices in the likes of New York, Hong Kong and Sydney. They work with some of the worlds market leading brands and have helped put together several high profile campaigns for these clients.

They are looking to recruit a Revenue Accountant to join the Finance function:

Analyse work in progress (WIP)
Revenue recognition including accrued and deferred journals
Create invoices
Maintain all documentation for Revenue
Assist in the production of weekly billing potential
Cashflow management and forecasting
Set up of new clients and jobs on Paprika
Produce Weekly/monthly time reports
Credit Control
Weekly reporting on time recovery
Forecasting for presentation to senior management team
Paprika training for new starters
Aged debt report
Billing potential per client by project
Intercompany and external company revenue recognition
Requirements - skillset and experience:

Experience of revenue recognition in a media environment, based on project jobs and retainers
Experience with accrued and deferred income
Previous media billing experience is essential
Experience using Paprika - including WIP analysis, time reporting and job maintenance.
Experience working within an independent agency would be beneficial
Good communication skills are essential.
