Axon Moore is working with a leading FTSE 100 business who are looking to undertake a step change in how their commercial finance function supports the ongoing success of the business. The business, which is significantly outperforming the market, is looking for exceptional commercial candidates with a demonstrable track record of outstanding achievement both academically and professionally.
With ambitious growth targets in the coming years, the business is looking to bring in a high calibre Commercial Analyst to undertake a pivotal role central to driving business performance beyond its current market-leading levels.
The role of the Commercial Analyst will involve;
• Day to day management of price improvement and margin enhancement trackers and ensuring supporting plans/documentation are fully up to date and verified.
• Assisting in the preparation of customer/product level trend analysis data, understanding how this impacts on performance and identifying areas for improvement.
• Preparation of low margin account reports and information gathering to understand what is driving it.
• Preparation of daily /weekly sales reports / forecasts.
• Weekly/monthly preparation of sales / sales person KPI reporting.
• Preparation of detailed insight into the production lines ensuring that they are being fully utilised and whether there are opportunities to improve / transfer production across lines / sites.
• Identify, map and deliver along with internal stakeholders a transparent and robust road map for the flow of commercial information available to both the site and the wider business.
• Preparation of forecasts and budgets and assist with month end analysis.
• Monitor adherence to the pricing decision models and highlighting any improvement opportunities.
This role will suit a late stage studier or recently qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) who has a proven background in commercial finance analysis. You will have a naturally and demonstrable commercial flair and will be a self-starter. Further, you will be able to demonstrate exceptional financial and data modelling skills and have the communication and persuasion skills required to deliver this to local and senior management of both a finance and non-finance nature.
