Your new role
This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to work with an established organisation on a new growth trajectory on either a permanent role or as a FTC basis with the opportunity to go perm. You will be co-ordinating various project teams, working on a number of different programmes, ensuring the delivery of multiple projects in your programme of responsibility. You will drive change and transformation in line with the company strategy. The role requires a good mix of both business & technology led change. Part of your role will be to provide support, guidance and training as required to colleagues supporting projects across the organisation.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be an experienced Programme Manager with expert knowledge and experience in the management and co-ordination of projects. You will demonstrate skills in delivery of multiple concurrent projects preferably in an engineering environment; you will have strong customer relationship skills as well as an ability to offer guidance around best practice and process to ensure that projects are delivered with a high quality.
To be successful in this role, you will have a thorough understanding of implementing projects and the frameworks surrounding projects. Be capable of designing projects, and ensuring that they are being followed by colleagues. The role will also require you to have:

  • Experience running a large set of complex programmes
  • Excellent senior stakeholder management
  • Hands on approach
  • Experience of working and delivering on large programmes of work
  • Good demonstrable experience of Governance surrounding projects, managing the progress
  • PRINCE2 or equivalent
  • Experience of the engineering sector is preferable
  • Managing the full life-cycle of programmes from planning through to lessons learnt
  • Take responsibility for any recovery management (where necessary)
  • Working with senior stakeholders and variety of teams within the business and 3rd party's
  • Identifying and managing risks, issues and dependencies that could threaten a programmes delivery
  • Capturing and acting upon recommendations arising from post implementation reviews, to support continuous improvement
