Financial Accountant

RattrayParkin are recruiting for a Financial Accountant to join a well-established business in Leicester city centre.

Reporting to the Head of Group Reporting, you will take shared responsibility for the UK Group’s general accounting function, management information and statutory reporting, the integrity of the accounts, internal controls, and the continuing development of accounting systems.

Key duties:

• Experience of month end reporting including; monthly consolidation of Group balance sheets
• Prepare P&L flash report with accompanying variance analysis
• Quarterly balance sheets and reporting for parent Group
• MI reporting
• Cash-flow preparation
• Statutory Accounts preparation for UK Group companies, including liaison with auditors
• General ledger support
• Inter-company reconciliations
• Review existing controls and processes

As an individual, you will demonstrate:

• Part qualified (ideally finalist) or newly qualified accountant ACMA/ACCA/ACA
• Good technical skills.
• Strong systems and Excel skills.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills, managing key relationships with Senior Management, Group Finance and both internal and external auditors.
• Some knowledge of accounting requirements and regulations.
• Experience of statutory accounts desirable.
