Interim Financial Controller

Hawkmont Consulting has been exclusively instructed to find a Financial Controller to head up the finance function of an established omni channel retailer which is based near Warrington, the business is about to enter into an exciting period of change.

The Financial Controller will work closely with and support the FD, It is a real opportunity for an innovative and focused Financial Controller to make their mark and develop the department.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supported by a team of 7, the Financial Controller will look after all financial management and control and improve and develop the company’s financial management, management reporting and control systems. Oversee the transactional teams and compliance, monthly and annual departmental management accounts, statutory and vat reporting, managing the payroll team. You will be tasked with getting more from the ERP system as well as creating a cohesive and collegiate team environment.

THE PERSON

You will have previous financial control experience and be excited by the prospect of adding value to the business and taking ownership of the finance function.

Key requirements

• Qualified ACA, ACCA, or CIMA with a track record as Financial Controller.
• Immediately available
• Energetic manager with the ability to win the hearts and minds of the current team
• Experience of retail or online trading would be a big advantage.
