Financial Accountant

A fast-paced not-for-profit organisation based in South Manchester are looking for a Financial Accountant to join them for a full-time, permanent role paying up to £45,000 per year. You will be fundamental in ensuring that all transactions are accurately accounted for and you will ensure that robust reporting of the financial position is updated regularly, both internally and externally

Key responsibilities of your new role

Reporting into the Head of Financial Services, your core duties in this Financial Accounting role will include:

• Producing statutory accounts and consolidated group accounts
• Consolidating the management accounts
• Completing the reporting pack and liaising closely with Directors and Executives
• Production of financial information for statutory and regulatory financial returns
• Setting and managing timetables for monthly quarterly and annual reporting, and for budget setting
• Maintaining a system of quality assurance of financial processes both within the department and across the wider business

Required skills, qualifications and experience

The team seek a Financial Accountant who demonstrates:

• CCAB qualification
• Not-for-profit experience
• Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook skills and strong IT skills in general
• Significant experience of preparation of statutory accounts
• Experience of report writing within a financial system to extract financial data
