Join a large independent firm as a senior accountant to strengthen their management team.
Your new firm
A large independent firm based on the outskirts of Preston are looking to appoint a Senior Accountant to join the firm. This is a newly created opportunity due to growth and the partners would like to appoint a senior accountant (ACA / ACCA qualified) who can strengthen the management team.
Your new role
As a Senior Accountant you will report directly into partners and associates where you will be responsible for the preparation of limited companies, sole traders and partnerships along with the relevant corporation tax computations. Other duties will include the preparation of management accounts, cashflow forecasts and preparing VAT returns. Supervisory duties will include managing and reviewing work prepared by junior members of the team ensuring feedback and coaching is provided.
If you have any audit skills, you will also be involved in managing audit assignments from planning through to completion.
What you'll need to succeed
The firm are actively seeking an ACA / ACCA qualified accountant who has trained within an accountancy firm. You must be competent in the preparation of accounts and the relevant corporation tax computations for a range of local businesses. The partners are looking to appoint a personable individual who is able to work autonomously and is keen to develop their managerial skills.
