A market leading manufacturer, supplying major house builders and independents across the UK seeks a Financial Controller / Finance Manager to work closely with the FD and MD. This will suit an Accountant ready for their first Number Two finance role or an already experienced Financial Controller / Finance Manager. The role reports to the FD, supplying him and the directors with relevant financial and management information, including:
• Preparation of management accounts and forecasts, support the COO with budgets and business plans
• Management of working capital; year-end preparation, liaising with Auditors
• Admin issues including car fleet, insurances, pensions and expenses
• Liaise with department heads regarding financial issues and company plans
• Identify cost reduction opportunities; evaluate and develop reporting systems, IT and internal controls
• Supervise one Finance Assistant This role is open to qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) and unqualified applicants - most important is the ability to be hands-on in a fast and growth environment, supporting the directors with relevant key financial information and ensure the smooth administrative running of the business.
