Financial Controller

Your new company

Your new company is a group operating in the Media space, with arms in events management, marketing consultancy as well as communications. They are now hiring for a Financial Controller, due to an internal restructure. Based in stylish offices in London's West End; you will operate as part of a small but impressive finance team, aiding the business' growth.


Your new role

In your new role, you will take a broad set of responsibilities - reporting directly into the Finance Director. You will take ownership for the production of the monthly management accounts, as well as process & controls improvements, which will need to be scale-able as the business grows.

You will also take management of 4 members of staff, all of whom are responsible for the transactional elements of finance. Another element of the role will be the review of the finance systems, and potential need for new system implementations if needed.


What you'll need to succeed

You will need to be a fully Qualified accountant, ideally ACA trained with 2-4 years PQE, as well as excellent academics.

During your time in practice, you will have been preforming a broad range of responsibilities, getting really hands on and stuck into the finance team. As the business grows, your level of ownership will grow as well and you must be open to this idea.

There is not a massive bonus in the role, though the benefits are good for the sector - and this is such a good opportunity for you to develop your career in an SME, and then progress to FD level in perhaps 2 or 3 years.
