Head of Finance Systems

Our client is a large global media business headquartered in London.

The Head of Finance Systems will own responsibility for managing all finance systems as well as lead the Group's group finance systems team.

Finance processes, applications and infrastructure need transformation to support the Group going forward. You will be a driving force for change, responsible for ensuring all requirements of the finance community are captured in the scope of the transformation project. You will also be a key stakeholder of the project team, holding them to account to deliver the best solution for the business. You will partner closely with the Head of Finance Transformation and the Technology team who will be responsible for delivery of any new solutions.

Key responsibilities will include:

Mitigate legacy risks and exposures in the current system team and application support

Manage and improve BAU support to the business on legacy finance systems whilst transformation project is underway. Ensuring optimal scoping of projects, allocation of work and timely delivery of robust solutions

Partner with relevant stakeholders to create a development and investment roadmap for enhancing the Group's finance systems & infrastructure, reporting and commercial analytics capabilities

Ownership of all post-transformation finance system solutions, processes and applications.

Modernise the financial systems and infrastructure to ensure that it is fit for purpose both now and when taking account of the Group's strategic growth and diversification plans

Your background will include:

Qualified accountant with a proven track record of career progression in a large, dynamic organization

At least 3 years of experience working in a relevant finance role

You will have a proven track record in delivering system management

Experience with system integration, improvement and modernization

Display experience in interpreting, structuring and optimizing large commercial data sets (both financial and non-financial) to ensure the business able to take advantage of enhancing insight

Commercially astute with a high level of analytical skills and focused on adding value

Great at building strong, effective working relationships and stakeholder management

Ability to get both the big picture and the detail
