Our client, a £multibillion turnover, global engineering group is looking to recruit an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their European HQ near Warrington. The business is a global leader in it field with operations in over 60 countries with the UK arm of the business at approx £250m turnover. This a a fixed term position of 9 months. You will report to the Finance Director with responsibilities including:
Key Responsibilities
Managing credit limits for customers
Releasing held / blocked sales orders as per company credit insurance procedure
Monthly declarations to Credit insurance company for overdues
Run weekly debtors reports and chase up anything overdue
Sending monthly statements to customers as requested
Opening new customer accounts and applying for credit limits
Posting of payment received
Issuing finance credit / debit notes as required
Clearing down advance payments
Customer reconciliations
Monthly DSO reporting
Bank reconciliation
Setting up new suppliers
Assisting with annual audit
Scanning of AP invoices for processing
Dealing with supplier queries.
Candidate Requirements
2-3 years experience in a similar role
AAT intermediate level or similar
Knowledge of SAP (advantegeous)
Work on their own initiative
Flexible, able to work under pressure and to deadlines
Good interpersonal skills
