Financial Controller

This an exciting opportunity to join a high growth Private Equity backed Multi-Site education business as a Financial Controller. This business has exhibited excellent year on year organic growth and has become one of the market leaders in its field. Because of this Private Equity investment, the business is set to grow via acquisition and through enhancing organic growth. Because of this, they are looking to add a commercially switched on Financial Controller to lead the core finance function and develop it capabilities as the business enters this significant growth cycle.

In this role you will reporting directly to the Finance Director and will be responsible for overseeing the core finance and deal with 5 direct reports. Other responsibilities include:

• Developing and managing the finance function
• Overseeing and driving timely completion of the monthly preparation of management accounts including the Group consolidation.
• Leading the integration of acquired targets from a finance and operational perspective
• Management of the monthly board pack and presentation to board members.
• Acquisition and completion accounting, including fair value accounting, for business combinations

This is an incredibly hands on role where you will be expected to focus on both technical improvements and look to add commercial experience and regularly liaise with senior management as the financial point of contact. Other requirements are:

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA Qualified with 3 years PQE
• Experience of working within a multi-site environment.
• Experience in developing and improving processes and controls in a start-up / high growth SME.
• PE experience is valuable.
