The Finance and Accounting Division of SF Group is recruiting for a Management Accountant to join a SME corporate business in Loughborough. This is an opportunity to work freely within a great team environment to push the boundaries of your skills.

The Management Accountant will be responsible for:

• Assist with and produce Monthly Management Accounts
• Balance Sheet Account Reconciliations & Nominal Journals including prepayments
• Ensure compliance with all relevant tax authorities and local chamber of commerce filings
• Company Tax Returns (including VAT etc.)
• Maintenance of Fixed Asset Registers including ensuring the Capital Expenditure policy is followed within the wider business and then track and monitor projects against budget with designated project manager
• Production of Budgets and Forecasts
• Production of year end accounts including detailed schedules and statutory filing
• Management of cross divisional costs including Franchise fee arrangements
• Working with the finance department to ensure financial accuracy and systems are maintained
• To assist with and take sole responsibility for specific ad hoc projects on behalf of department e.g. move to new financial systems.
• Working with External auditors during year end and statutory account process
• To represent Department/Company at internal/external meetings
• Mentoring of Finance Support Advisors

The Management Accountant will:

• At least 3 years' experience in a Management Accounts role or equivalent is essential
• Part qualified or qualified (ACCA or CIMA)
• Study assistance can be provided for home/weekend study only. Release from work is not permitted due to nature of role.
• Strong administration skills including knowledge of windows based software.
