Fund Accountant - Newly Qualified

A well established and fast growing Private Equity firm based near Sloane Square is looking for a Private Equity fund accountant to join their team ASAP on a 6-12 month contract.

The ideal candidate will be ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent with a background in Private Equity. Candidates from an audit background with PE clients will also be considered along with those that have spent time at a fund administrator working on Private Equity funds.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a collaborative and meritocratic environment where you will be able to get involved in a variety of duties if you show the willingness and the aptitude.

Main duties include but are not limited to:

• Daily management of the private equity funds
• Preparation of carried interest and management fee calculations in accordance with the fund documentation
• Preparation of quarterly accounts and capital statements
• Preparation of the investor's drawdowns and distributions
• Preparation of audited annual financial statements
• Liaise with auditors, lawyers and tax advisors
• Liaise closely with members of other team in the company
• Investment transactions support as required
• Implementing improvements in the financial reporting process
• Ad hoc queries

Due to the urgent nature of this role, candidates on more than 4 weeks notice cannot be considered. Those on two weeks or less will have a distinct advantage.
