Assistant Accountant

Based in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire our client is a well-known household name looking for an experienced and enthusiastic individual to join the business as an Assistant Accountant on a permanent basis.

The successful individual will be AAT qualified or CIMA/ACCA part qualified. You will demonstrate attention to detail, the ability to work under pressure and be adept at working with and managing key internal stakeholders. You will also be an enthusiastic and committed team player.

This job will suit somebody who is actively studying and genuinely looking to qualify in the future who has an all-round month end accounting skill set. You will be interested in joining an exciting and fast-track business who are constantly recognised for their impressive growth.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' experience in an Assistant Accountant position or similar and be able to work well under pressure.

Duties will include:

• Production and distribution of weekly revenue figures
• Strong focus on the month end close process and adherence to tight deadlines - including the calculation and posting of journals
• Take ownership of a variety of balance sheet account reconciliations
• Assist in the production of the monthly management accounts, including processing/reconciling prepayments and accruals
• Provide key financial input and support in the preparation of Cashflow forecasts and the analysis of Actuals
• Assist in the year-end external audit process
• Assist in the annual budgeting process
