My Client are a growing expanding retail business based in the Birmingham area. They are currently recruiting for an Assistant Accountant position to join their finance function and to work closely with their Finance Director. The ideal candidate will be a hungry and ambitious accountant in the early stages of their studies with the view to progress within the business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assist in preparation of monthly management accounts - accruals/prepayment journals
- Daily Bank postings and reconciliations
- Administer and reconcile International companies balance sheets
- Preparing and reviewing VAT Returns, Fixed Asset Register and cash flow forecasting
- Assist the Finance Manager in periodic Budget and forecast for approval by the Finance Director
