I am recruiting an Interim Head of Finance to complete a 9 month contract for a large service business based near Ellesmere Port. Reporting to the Finance Director you will be responsible for the financial management and reporting for one of the group subsidiaries. This is an exciting project involving change management and process improvement.
Responsibilities:
Work with the Finance Director to develop a vision and strategic plan to guide the business.
Identify assess and inform the Finance Director of internal and external financial issues.
Oversee the efficient and effective day-to-day financial operations.
Add commercial financial support to the decision-making process.
Take a lead in continuous improvement.
Work with the Finance Director to develop and deliver a financial plan which incorporates goals and objectives.
Ensure that all reports, payments, controls and processes are delivered with full data integrity and that compliance requirements are met and understood.
Prepare Management information on a monthly basis for the relevant meetings.
Ensure effective and compliant financial control systems and processes are in place.
Take an instrumental role of new process development/planning/financial risk mitigation.
Oversee financial planning and evaluation.
Assess and advise the Finance Director with regard to profitability.
Work closely with IT on the improvement of finance processes/initiatives/projects.
Work with Finance Director to contribute towards setting financial targets for the year for Board approval.
Ensure that the Finance Director and subsidiary Board receive comprehensive regular reports on the revenues and expenditure of the Group.
Ensure that sound accounting policies and procedures are followed and that the regulatory requirements of all statutory entities are met .
Work with the auditors at year end.
Lead and develop the Finance team.
Identify and evaluate risks.
Manage and mitigate financial and reputational risks.
The ideal candidate will have worked in a similar role previously and must be fully CIMA, ACCA or ACA qualified. You will need to have strong systems experience and effective leadership skills.
