A household name in the manufacturing sector are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join their West Yorkshire based team. The business is a worldwide distributor of mechanical parts, delivering to over eighty countries. The company has grown year on year for over 20 years, have some very aggressive growth plans for the future.
Role and Responsibilities
As Assistant Accountant, you will report directly to the Corporate Finance Manager. Your duty will be to provide a comprehensive financial administration service, assisting with the following duties:
- Processing monthly payroll
- Monthly VAT returns
- Preparing UAE quarterly VAT returns
- Preparing UK annual accounts
Candidate Requirements
- Entry level accountant – Studying towards (or have completed) a recognised qualification in Accountancy
- Experience working within a Finance Department previously
- Knowledge and experience of Sage 50
- Strong numeracy skills
- Keen eye for detail
- Able to demonstrate exceptional methods of chasing customer payments
Salary, Contract and Benefits
- £22,000 - £24,000 per annum
