Bath based Residential Developer Kersfield are looking to recruit a Financial Controller to join their team. The role reports to the CFO/MD.  This is a  fixed term contract for an initial period of 6 months with a view to extension and progression for the right candidate.

About this Financial Controller role:

The Financial Controller will work closely with the  Chief Executive and management team to provide financial information in the management process and dissemination of this to both existing and potential investors and funders.

Our Financial Controller will already need to have an in depth knowledge of the private residential housing business model; and be able to undertake review and analysis of financial data to challenge assumptions and forecasts,  working with the management team and directors to formulate business forecasts and budgets together with cashflow and funding requirements, review and management of short and medium term cashflow, production of monthly management reporting and ensuring timely statutory accounts.

Managing of a small team comprising a Management Accountant and Accounts Manager, the Financial Controller also has the support of external accountants to produce statutory accounts and corporation returns. 

Requirements of our Financial Controller:

To be successful in this role, you will need broad experience of commercial businesses, crucially with construction or development financial expertise in order to make an immediate contribution.

A qualified accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA) with proven experience in a leadership role, you will have excellent relationship building skills with both colleagues and external stakeholders. You will be able to add value by conducting forward-looking analysis, being involved in the strate­gic planning, supporting commercial deals and under­standing internal and external risks.
