Manager (Chartered Accountancy Practice)

Manager opportunity for an ACA / ACCA Qualified Accountant within a successful established Chartered Accountancy Practice offering client portfolio management responsibility and potential long term progression to Partner.

A successful and long established Lancashire Chartered Accountancy Practice renowned for providing its people with excellent training and career development opportunities. The Practice advises businesses across a diverse range of industry sectors and counts some of North Lancashire's best known family-owned businesses as its clients. Services provided to clients include Audit, Accounts Preparation, Tax, Payroll, Outsourced Management Accounting / Financial Control and M&A / Corporate Finance Advisory solutions.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Joining the practice as a Manager you will support two Partners with the management of their client portfolio's and will have the opportunity to progress your career to Associate Partner over the next few years and Partner in the longer term. The practice has a proven track record in developing its people, with several of the firm's current Partners progressing from Graduate / Newly Qualified level through to Partner in recent years.

Responsibilities will include:

• Managing SME, Family-Owned and Mid-Market Corporate clients (c.£100k - £10m t/o)
• Reporting to Partner level Overseeing the work of a team consisting of Junior and Part-Qualified Accountants
• Preparing Year-End Accounts and Monthly Management Accounts for SME clients (£1m - £10m t/o)
• Reviewing VAT Returns produced by the team Reviewing Year-End Accounts and tax Computations for small businesses prepared by the team

THE PERSON

You will be an Accountancy professional able to demonstrate the following:

• ACA / ACCA Fully Qualified
• Background within Chartered Accountancy Practice (min.5-7 years)
• Experience in advising large SME, Family-Owned and Entrepreneur-led businesses
• A strong desire to progress your career longer term to at least Associate Partner level within an established and reputable Accountancy Practice
