The Company

Our client is a market leading specialist providing business critical services that support the infrastructure of some of the UKs largest companies. They are looking to appoint an Assistant Accountant working closely with the Financial Controller to ensure the continued growth and success of the business.

The Role

You will provide support for the financial reporting team ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of monthly management and financial accounts.

Duties will include:

• Process journal entries for accruals and prepayments for the production of the monthly management accounts
• Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
• Process expenses for employees ensuring expenditure is correctly accounted
• Monitor expenditure working closing with the procurement team to ensure it is correctly accounted for
• Ensure prompt payments to suppliers and generate payment runs adhering to supplier terms
• Assist with preparing cashflow forecasts

The Candidate

• AAT qualified or studying early stages of ACCA/CIMA and keen to progress and complete your studies to become a fully qualified accountant
• Advanced knowledge of Excel essential, experience of SAP/BI a distinct advantage
• An enquiring mind and proactive focus
• A true team player capable of flexibility and application to tasks at a variety of different levels
