An opportunity has arisen for a Financial Accountant to join a well-established FTSE 100 property firm based in central London.

Client Details

My client is one of the largest commercial & residential property development companies in the UK.

Description

The Financial Accountant will be responsible for the following:

  • Production of statutory accounts for subsidiary and joint venture companies.
  • Assisting in the preparation of the interim and final accounts for the Group
  • Assisting in the completion of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • To be familiar with and keep abreast of latest accounting requirements / standards and company law and apply as necessary to the Group's financial reporting
  • Assisting in other financial accounting work as required in conjunction with other Finance departments such as quarterly management accounts for certain entities as and when required
  • Contributing towards the department's housekeeping, filing, record maintenance and internal control procedures
  • Undertaking ad-hoc accounting projects and special reviews as required
  • Assisting in the preparation of the Group consolidated accounts
  • Assisting in the preparation of the monthly intercompany interest / management charge
  • In addition to the responsibilities listed above, the job holder may be required by management from time to time to undertake any other tasks or duties considered to be relevant to the general function of the Financial Accounts Department and the business

Profile

The successful Financial Accountant will have the following:

  • Professional finance qualification - ACA/ACCA/CIMA
  • Experience working with IFRS standards
  • Experience working with real estate and property clients desirable
  • Ability to work within central London
