Commercial Client Accountant - London. Our Client, is an established and thriving chartered surveying firm specialising in commercial and Residential property who are seeking a Property Client Accountant to join their team and will be reporting directly to the Partners of the firm and will work closely alongside the firm's Property Manager.

The Role will involve:

  • Issuing rent, service charge and insurance demands based on budgets and leases.
  • Entering and allocating rent and service charge payments made by tenants.
  • Transferring rents received to the firm's Clients.
  • Issuing statements to Clients on a quarterly basis.
  • Handling client enquiries on an ad hoc basis.
  • Preparing VAT reporting to Clients.
  • Undertaking annual service charge reconciliations and liaising with auditors.
  • Coding and posting supplier invoices onto the property management system.
  • Analysing age debtor report and monitoring fund balances.
  • Preparing BACS payment runs.
  • Responsible for handling Credit control.
  • Raising quarterly management and audit fees.
  • Performing monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Setting up new properties including units and leases.
  • Working with the property manager to set the annual service charge budgets.
  • Setting up service charge budgets.
  • Handling Petty Cash.
  • Preparing VAT Returns
  • Liaising with the firm's accountants in dealing with end of year returns etc.

The Person: To apply you MUST be an experienced Client Accountant with strong 'hands on' knowledge of preparing service charges, processing and reconciliations as this will be a 'stand-alone role'. The company are looking for someone who will pick things up quickly and have a keen interest to develop and grow in the firm and build upon their experience. Ideally the successful candidate used a Property Management system such as Tramps/QUBE/Yardi.
