Your new role
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the company as Financial Controller and lead the finance team through the growth of the business. You will be responsible for developing a high performing finance function consistent with the overall proposition of the business including robust financial systems and processes, accurate management information and reporting and informative financial analysis. You will also be a key contributor to the organisation achieving its development and operational objectives by collaborating cross function and with the investor groups

Core responsibilities include
Developing the strategic plan, cash flow models
Recruit and manage a small finance team across all core areas of finance including AP, AR, Banking and Management Accounts
Ensure accurate cost control, reporting and forecasting
Produce detailed cash flow forecasts
Lead the annual audit and financial statements preparation
Take responsibility for tax matters including core compliance
Implement a new finance system including GL and subsystems





What you'll need to succeed
Qualified accountant with significant post-qualification experience
Experience within the construction and/or property sectors desirable
Advanced Excel skills including financial modelling
Strong technical accounting skills, particularly around construction accounting
Strong analytical skills and a creative approach with the ability to develop new ideas
Excellent presentational skills, both verbal and written
Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise to work to tight deadlines
Ability to manage and motivate a small team
Excellent stakeholder management skills across a range of functional areas
Excellent interpersonal skills including honesty, integrity, reliability and commitment
Experience in establishing new processes and procedures including system migration
